Good morning. No 14/2 is not heavy enough for 20A circuit. It must be 12/2. 14/2 is only rated for 15A.

Wiring my pots...help needed.

I am renovating my basement and I am in the process if wiring a total of 9 pot lights to a 15 amp circuit. I will be running wire from the panel to start. 5 pots on a standard switch and 4 on a 600 dimmer. Could someone run me through the basics of doing this? This curcuit will only contain the 9 pots and the two swiches. Many, many thanks in advance. Medic.Read More

I have electical outages ever so often that effects aprx half of my circuits. The circuit breaker does not kick and it will reset and come back on after a while aprox 1 hour. the heater is one of the circuits that goes out ,the lights flicker at times. And if I leave some of the lights on the circuits that go out on it doesn`t lose the power on these circuits. does anyone have any thoughts Thanks GaryRead More
