Wink Thanks Ichabod, Another question? DC-wiring

If #00 gauge cable is used to connect batteries in series, would it be advisable to use #2 cable to connect batteries to electric motor, or better to use #00 guage through out? #2 being much lighter in weight, would be prefered in my boat.

My table shows No. 2 rated at 140 amps, No. 1 at 165, No. 1/0 is 195, 2/0 is 225. No. 2 would do it, but I would use a 2x6 if a 2x4 is sufficient. Look at the incremental cost, little bigger might not cost much more.

That thing got wings?
