Lightbulb minature light installation

Hi, i'm trying to make an installation using 12v Grain of Wheat minature bulbs. Theoretically i should be able to wire twenty in series through the mains, but no-one seems to be able to tell me how to wire the bulbs to mains cable, or if it's possible. If you could tell me one way or the other it'd be greatly appreciated!

Tell us what a 12v Grain of Wheat minature bulb is. What is the application? If these were truely capable of series connection on a 120V circuit, then 10 in series. 240V circuit then 20 bulbs.
Again..... What is the application. This is somewhat done on holiday lighting.

Is this 12v DC or AC. Somehow I think these bulbs are for DC.

They'll also be quite dim if you wired that many in a series.

What's your application for these lights?

Grain of Wheat

Thankyou both! The 240v/120v thing was my fault, i'm in England and forgot this probably isn't... doh. After talking to many an amused elctrician i decided it would be easier to run 1.5v grain of rice bulbs together through a 240v - 24v transformer, seems to be easier all round.
