Recepticle controlled by switch
#1

I I have a grounded electrical receptacle controlled by a switch. I would like to modify the installation so that the receptacle is powered full time without the switch. I am a novice, and none of the DIY electrical books seem to address this scenario.
Thank you.
Thank you.

What will become of the switch? Does it power anything else?
If you intend to abandon the switch, open it up, remove the switch, undo the two wires from the screws and wirenut them together. Cover the box with a blank cover.
If it powers other things (outlets) and you want to keep them on the switch, you may not be able to do it. Tell us all the wires in the switch box, and all the wires in the outlet box.
