Question new ceiling light on middle floor

In our kitchen we have a light over our eating area and then another overhead light over the center of the work area. In between we have a breakfast bar w/our stove top. We would like to install a light above this area. How do we do it without having visible wires running from the either of the other two lights. My son's bedroom is up above so there isn't any access to the ceiling from there.

Thanks,
Gia

Would you consider replacing one of the fixtures with track lighting?

Or, if the joists run parallel to the line between these two lights, it should be very simple to fish a wire behind the drywall.

Or, you could still do this if you are willing to do a bit of drywall repair.

The track lighting is originally what we had thought to do...but we really don't want to go that route. We're not sure which way the joists run but we'll have to find that out first so we know how to proceed. I suppose with a textured ceiling it shouldn't be so noticeable if we go the dry wall route either.
