Ceiling Light

I have a ceiling light in a bedroom that goes off after being switched on for 20 min, or so. after it cools down, you can switch the light back on. Can anyone help determine the problem, and what I should do about it?

It's probably a fixture with a thermal cutoff, and you probably have a higher wattage bulb in than the fixture is rated for. Reduce the wattage of the bulb.

Ceiling Light

Mr. Nelson,

Thank you for the reply. I had two 60 Watt bulbs in, and now only have one 40 Watt light bulf in (it is the only 40W I could find inthe house!). I will get another 40 W bulb tomorrow, monitor the ceiling light. Thanks again.
