removing an outlet

I need help. I need to remove a wall (not a supporting wall) and the wall has an outlet and a switch. How do I terminate the wiring when I remove the outlet and switch?

I assume that just cutting the wires and leaving them unattached will cause an open circuit and thus problems with other outlets and switches on the circuit?

Thanks for the help.

After you remove the wall, you should either remove the cirucit back to where it came from, or leave an accessable junction box with the wires capped with a wire nut and a blank cover on the junction box.
