Hello i need a bit of information concerning letters on wireing
on some you see nm-b which i understand then you see ( awg )this i dont understand. as we are building this new house we are going to but the wire and have someone do the complcatited stuff when we get that far. thanks for any information cork

nm means non-metallic referring to the outer covering of romex cable. Can't remember what the b is. AWG is the wire gauge
of the wires in the cable. 14-2 nm-b would be 14 guage (awg) wire in a non-metallic (romex) cable. Sure I'm forgetting something, so standby for a pro to expound.
