Wall plugs

I am have trouble with my plugs in my kitchen. So i putting in more. I am putting in new wires, 1 for every plug. Do I still need to pigtail them. I am using 14-3 wire so I can split the plug. Can someone help me to understand.

If there is only one wire of each color in the box, then you should not pigtail. If there are two or more grey or white or bare wires, you must pigtail those. If there are two of any other color, pigtailing is optional. If there are more than two of any other color, you must pigtail.

I'M still doing the wireing but it's comming along. I understand what to do now. I have one more thing to ask. 14-3 wire has 4 wires do they hook up the same. Can you help me?
