Wiring main panel

Is it illegal in most places to have more than one romex through the clamp at the main panel?

Have a newer type SquareD, 16 pos., with several "two in one" breakers.

Thanks

hope this helps

Do you mean entering the panel? Or hooked to the same breaker?
If you mean entering the panel, yes its ok to have 2 in one connector, depending on the size of the wire. Every brand of connector is ul listed with a rating for how many, and what size wires can enter through it, on the packaging. If you dont have access to the packaging that the connector came in, a good general rule, that I use, is this, up to 2 - 12-2 romexes in a half inch connector. Ill also put a 14/3 and a 14/2 in one connector. But thats just me.
And as far as two wires on the same breaker, new square d breakers (full size 15a, 20a, and 30a) are in fact rated to have two wires entering its terminations.

I got questions on this matter too. I will be wiring the box this week. Give me hints on keeping from getting busted. What about the main line?

The romex going into the bottom of the Main Panel.

I think you've answered it. Need to take a better look at the connectors(clamps) package. Kind of ignored it out of ignorance.

Used mostly 3/8" but haven't wired it permanently yet so can easily change to some 1/2" and put two romex 12-2s through it.

Thanks for the reply.
