Follow-up to poster jn's question "GFCI Time line"

This imformation comes from the book "Overcurrents and Undercurrents" by Earl W. Roberts. It is a general history of GFCI devices and has a very detailed time-line of requirements.

1971: Outdoors(direct grade) and within 15ft. of a swimming pool.
1975: bathroom receptacles.
1978: Garages andn fountains.
1981: Whirlpools, hottubs, etc.
1984: Motels in bathrooms, replacements for non-grounding type.
1987: Kitchens within 6ft. of sink, basements, boathouses.
1990: All in unfished basements, crawl spaces.
1993: Wet bar sinks, replacements in other required areas.
1996: All kitchen counter-top outlets, dedicated circuits in bathrooms, all outdoor outlets,in sheds, balconies(If accessible from grade level or not), electric car chargers.

Of course I need to my hands on the latest edition.
