outdoor lights

Hi I have an outside light fixture appears to be a bronze alloy with a glass and or plastic clear globe ,However I can't remove the globe I took the fixture and sprayed WD40 around but it will not loosen any advise Thanks J.H. I have also taken the fixture off the wall.

You were a little short on info to us. If you have three set screws that tighten against the glass globe that are frozen in the threads and the oil won't break loose the screws in the threads then I suggest you break off the screws on the outside of the fixture and take a drill bit and drill the screws out to almost through the fixture. Then take the globe and hope the screws come loose after you drilled out the threads of that screw. If you get one to remove the other two screws will often allow the globe to be romoved without breaking the glass. If this doesn't work the break the globe, remove the fixture and replace that fixture with a new fixture.
