Hall way lighting

Can anyone provide a diagram showing how to wire a hallway/3way switch so I can help my brother install a light in the addition he is building? Thanks !!!!

I assume that you are wiring a single light with a 3-way switch at each end of the hallway. There are about eight correct and a hundred incorrect ways to do it.

Try this site, although you have even more options. Almost any book on home wiring will have good diagrams, and you should have a couple of such books before doing any home wiring anyway. There are a few hundred electrical codes that you should be aware of before you start. Safe and legal electrical work is much more than just connecting wires.

That will solve my problem. I appreciate your concern for safety. I simply couldn't remember the safe way to wire the switch. I have significant experience with witing but it has been a few years now and I felt better getting qualified assistance than ringing it out with a meter. Thank you very much, cheers
