replacement of plug on ext cord

Arrow replacement of plug on ext cord

cut through 2 extentsion cords while using hedge trimmers.
can i just cut cord at damaged part and replace the plug? how? is is simple to do?

thanks.

Simple job - just slip your cut wire through the replacement plug, carefully cut back the outer insulation, separate the three wires, strip back the individual wire's inlsulation about 5/8 in. Attach the white wire to the white screw, the black wire to the brass colored screw, and the green wire to the green (sometimes hex shaped) ground screw. All done, good as new.
