I have a problem with two 15 amp breakers in my breaker box. Every 1 to 1.5 years the lights on those particular lines start to flicker. My solution to date has been to remove the breakers, claen the contacts on the breaker and in the box. The problem then is always fixed. I have purchased new breakers but the problem still reapears some time down the road. This has been going on for years. Any suggestions on what the problems are? Better yet, what is the long term solution.

hi john,
try tighting up all connections in the panel. (SAFTY NOTE even with the main breaker off the lugs on the main will still be hot)im also willing to bet u have what we call stabin breakers (they just push in and pull out). current causes heat and chainges in temp causes expansion and contraction. some times the breakers will become lose if your 2 breakers r lose fitting and the clips r axcessable try bending the clips on the breaker together formoing a tighter fit.
