light switch

I have a fixture that can be turned on at 3 different places. I want to replace one of these with a dimmer. The fixture has 12 25 watt bulbs. What specs. do I look for in a dimmer switch?

Hi John,
The standard, smallest dimmer is rated for 600 watts which will cover your needs.
You will need a 3/way dimmer and since you have three switches you will need to find any one of two three way switches to replace. You will also run across a 4/way which stays.
Wire it as follows, Most have three wire leads. Usually two of one color - equal travelers and one black which is the other wire that is left which must either be the switch leg or the hot leg.
