2 switch light problem
#1
Help!
I have a 2-switch light. I replaced the 1st switch and tho't I'd connected the wires correctly, but now the 2nd switch (which I haven't touched) doesn't work. I changed the hot wires around, but the 2nd switch still doesn't work.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Frank

OK.
I assume that you did not alter connetion on second Sw.
So.
If the feed is in the new sw. box, you have 5 wires there.
A 2 wire & a 3 wire cable.(most usual)
2 white wires are connected together.
Black wire from 2 wire cable is connected to colored screw.
Black & red from 3 wire cable is connected to the white screws.
If in that box are only 3 wires (normally)
Black wire is connected to colored screw.
White & red is connected to white screws.
I am waiting for response.
