no power

Question

I purchased a 14 year old house with a do-it-yourselfer finished basement. Overnight all power has went out on 2 sides of the basement rooms some wall outlets&light switches(not all). I've changed the circuit and tested it appears power is there but the lights&outlets still does not work. HELP!!!!

Thanks for the quick response sparky. I've tried what you suggested and unless the GFI's are someplace other than the upstairs bathroom & kitchen I am at a lost. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sure has me stomped

look over the intire house 4 a gfci including the outside receps, reset them all.
nother thing could be a loose connection, u might try opening up the boxes and checking 4 a lose connection, nother thought it could be a gfci breaker in the panel,c if u have a breaker that has a test buttion on it thats a gfci breaker, nother possability is a bad breaker if ya need to know how 2 test a breaker email me and ill tell u how
