Ceiling Fan Noise

Several Months Back I ran a line from an existing switch (which used to control a receptacle) to a ceiling fan. The fan seems to work fine. The only thing that I've noticed is that if the light is on (Regardless of whether the fan is on or not) I'll hear a "clicking/snapping" type sound periodically coming from the light. Is this anything to be concerned about? Otherwise it seems to function perfectly.

It is not normal to have sounds comming from a light. Describe the sound in more detail. Remove the bulbs one at a time and turn the light on and see if the clicking occurs. How loud and how offten.

There is only one bulb in the fan. It doesn't seem to happen on a consistent interval. It is not very loud. I haven't actually timed it but it must be at least 10 minutes between sounds. No it is not on a dimmer.
I'll try a different bulb and see if it still makes the noise. I'll also try it without a bulb & let you know.
