Question

I have a 220v 60 amp disconnect box. How do I hook up the 6g, 4wire to the disconnect?

Am I right in this assumption,

- ground wires to ground lug on box
- white wires to line lugs on both in and out sides of the disconnect
- red wires to load lugs on both sides of disconnect
- black wires wired together with wirenut.

Thanks,
Bob

hello bob,
yes #6 wire is ok 4 60 amps.
as to hooking up the disconect the black and red from the panel go to the line lugs (lugs on top) and black and red to the load go on bottom lugs, whites wirenut together, and bares go 2 the ground lug.
