line conditioner(s)... need help...
what are line conditioners...
i'm not sure what a line cond. is used for, i thought i might ask...
*reason, i want to hook up some 1000w lights in my shop (metal halide, w/ballast i believe) and i have 120v outlets. (all outlets are on 1 15amp circuit).
could i plug two 1000w lights in a line conditioner that's plugged in to an outlet and still be able to run other equipment?
*any feed back will be appreciated, thanks

A 120V 15A circuit could only handle 1440 watts max. So only one light per 15A circuit.
Just for discussion, 1000 W MH lamps are GIANT, how big is your shop? If the shop is that big, you probably have a commercial building with 277V and 120V available, and 277V that would be the way to go.
A line conditioner is a device that somewhat "cleans" "dirty" power. You don't need an external one for light fixtures. If needed at all, it is in the ballast.
