Question

I am wondering if there is anyway of testing a three-way switch with a meter like you can test a single pole switch. Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks

Jay, a 3-way switch has three screws (other than the ground) on it -- bottom, upper left and upper right. With the switch toggle in one position, you should have continuity between the bottom and either the upper left or upper right. Put the switch toggle in the other position, continuity will change to the other upper screw and the bottom screw.
