as a general rule is this correct?

Breaker size wire size
15 A 14
20 A 12
30 A 10
40 A 8
50 A 6

I was just gathering info from several posts on breaker and wire size and this is what I came up with from every one of the posts(combined). I know there is probably some exceptions. And I might be totally on the wrong track.

Thanks,

Kenny

Aluminum wire is rated at a lower ampacity

Kenny,
Your ratings are for copper wire. If you happen to get involved with aluminum wire the amperage ratings are different.

15A for 12AWG
25A for 10AWG

Enjoy the Journey,
Mike
