In my garage, I have two sets of 48 inches fluorescent lights. In one of the units, I keep replacing one bulb. Always the same one. It works fine for a couple days then the whole unit becomes dim and the same lights flickers and there always a circle around one end.
Any suggestions on what could be the problem and what could I do to fix it.

Thanks

Gagnon,
It sounds like you have stressed ends. Change out the end where the ring occurrs. It is weak, loose and thus builds up heat which damages your lamp.

Thanks David B.

You were right. I have taken the faultive end apart and one of the connections was loose. Actually the end of the electrical cord came right off. So I've fixed it and everything is working fine. Better than it ever did in the last two years.

Thank you very much.
