Does IC means the can, be covered with insulation?

IC means insulation contact. You can cover the recessed portion of the fixture with insulation. Follow the manufacturers instructions, since I belive it is possible to carry this idea too far, and completely obstruct all ventalation!

I don't think you can carry this too far. You may completely bury the IC can in insulation. Most of the time, you will be limited to a maximum 75 watt bulb in an IC can.
