Two wires only..which..where?
First time user..excuse lack of electrical language..I need to know which wires go where in attatching a new electrical three pronged plug.
I have two wires only that need to be fitted..one blue the other brown. I assume I have an active and a neutral only. On new plug there is a green coloured mark on the earth and the other two have nothing.
Do one of these wires need to be on the earth or ?
Thankyou for your help..don't worry I have not attempted to use ..too scary not knowing where or what!

I assume this is a 240 v. application, as you are in Australia. Take a look at www.sherline.com/powrcord.htm for an excellent diagram which should assist you.
