Outlet boxes
#1

Problem - the part that you screw the outlet into has broken off. The outlet isn't secured to the wall. Is there something out there to solve this or do I have to tear apart the wall & totally replace the box? Thanks in advance.

Duck D,
Sprky's way is one way which is good, but you can also use a plastic cut-in box, which I prefer, but they also make metal cut-in boxes . There are a few varieties of these.
I'm assuming this is a romax box that you currently have. This also must be a cut-in box you currently have that has let go. Any box with a bracket from original construction is pretty difficult to break loose. Using Sprky's method, it's even hard to saw off.
