220 light fixture/110 circuit

I have a 220 light fixture from Europe-it includes the bulbs. How do I wire it so it can be used in a 110 circuit ?

This question is a frequent topic of this and other forums. My recommendation is that you not rewire it for use in the U.S., but there are many other opinions.

See any one or all of the following threads:

This thread started just today over in the garden web about an antique light from France.
Or this thread from just last week in this forum about an Italian chandelier.
Or this thread from May in this forum about a French ceiling light.
Or this thread about a German lamp.
Or this thread about equipment from Sweden.
Or this thread about English appliances.
Or this thread about a crystal chandelier from the Czech Republic.
Or this thread about European table lamps.
There are many more, but that should be enough to give you some ideas.
