Question

If the service head brings in 2 120v lines, why do some people refer to 110v and 220v instead of 120v and 240v?

hello barnesjohn,
in all actuality 110=120 and 220=240, the terms r interchaingabel. 120 is normaly the peak voltage and 110 is the root mean square(rms)same applys to 240.
