Question ceiling fan trauma!

Help! I am in the middle of installing a new ceiling fan in my bedroom. This house is at least 35 years old! My problem is that I have everything wired properly )green grounded, black/blue to black) but...there are three huge white wires coming out of the box that I cannot get wired to the one white wire fron the kit! They are big fat wires and will not thread to any wire nut I have tried! The kit said nothing about three white wires! I do not know what to do now, I can't just leave one or two of them out can I..??

No, you can't simply leave one out. You need a bigger wire nut. Go to your local home improvement center and buy a red one.

Okay, thanks John. I tried three red ones but you cannot believe how big this bundle is! Is there a trick to getting all four white wires to stay intact in the wire nut?
