ryobi 18v drill

my ryobi 18v drill batteries are no longer charging, and, of course, its right after warranty has expired..

my problem is, both batteries wont charge. has anyone experienced this? is it most likely the charger, or the batteries? i dont want to have to buy one, only to find out it was the other..

thanks!

Does the charge light operate?
If not I do believe there's a fuse located in the charging module.
Should be accessable from the bottom of the unit....
Not absolutely certain with the Ryobi however.

More than likely it is the batteries, but to be safe, have you tried plugging the charger into another outlet? Have you plugged anything else into the outlet? Is there power at that outlet? Also check the charging connectors, are they dirty. The reason I ask is I have my charger plugged in an outlet with nothing else plugged in with it, and a breaker was turned off, without my knowledge, one flip of the breaker, and it was a miracle, the light came back on.
