Low Cost Tools

Has anyone used tools2u ecommerce site before? I just found it today and purchased some really low cost tools. They were really good and I couldn't believe the prices. I ordered and they came to my house the next day.

Took a quick browse on the site; you must be in the UK, sue. First thing I looked for was warranty information. Looks like returns up to 14 days, but guarantee only for 30 days. If you do light-duty type work and never break a tool (and the price is good) probably a good deal. For moderate to heavy usage where breakage often occurs, a better guarantee would be desirable. Here in the Colonies there are a number of tool brands that carry lifetime guarantees with no strings; you don't even have to be the original purchaser. For instance if you buy a broken Craftsman (Sears) ratchet at a yard sale you can take it straight to the nearest Sears store for a replacement. Not sure what tool brands are available over there.

I agree with TowGuy.

If there's tool breakage, either:

1) The tool is cheap and useless.
2) The tool is being used other than its intended purpose,
3) The tool is worn out.

Good tools shouldn't break .
