Hi everybody,

I'm looking for the following manuals:

2. Craftsman 3 HP compressor mod. 919.176830

3. Homelite generator 3500 watt mod. 176a35-1
with briggs & stratton motor mod.190432, type 0865-01, code

The two Craftsman items can be had from the sears.com web site. Go to "parts" and enter the model number.

Right, you have to order it; not available as a freebie.

Sears will not send you a screw free .

However, the compressor is made by DeVilbiss (919 in the model #) and the saw thing is an Emerson (113 in the model #)

If you contact DeVilbiss (www.devap.com) and Emerson Tool Company (check google.com for the URL) you might be able to get a manual out of them.

DeVilbiss sent me a PDF file of the generic manual for their oil free air compressors (even though I had the original manual for my Sears one from the guy that sold it to me).

Sears.com offers parts lookups/breakdowns, not manuals.
As TowGuy said, you have to purchase them.

The first thing is to contact the manufacturer. In the case of Sears, I find out who is making it for them (I have seen source lists on the internet...the first three digits of any Sears model # denote their vendor/source) and contact that company.

Some (Whirlpool for one) will not give you any information on parts or the like for Sears product that they make for them. Sears wants any and all parts business on these items.

All Sears is doing is drop shipping the parts from the vendor to you .

You have to "beat" them at their own game. Sometimes it works, other times, not .
