Heavy Duty Belt Sander

I recently bought a Porter Cable 362 4"x24" belt sander. I use it for only Heavy Duty material removal. It seems to stall out easier than I think it should. Any ideas on were to get a heavier duty belt sander. Industrial duty?

That looks like a fairly beefy sander. Do you have the variable speed model?
What are you doing with it?

I have two belt sanders that are both smaller than yours and they do a decent job for me.

Maybe you could use a different tool for your application.

Greg,

I spray on Polyurethane/Polyurea on decks, floors, etc. I use a belt sander for some prep and to get rid of any lumps I might get in my material application. The main reason I,m asking is that I rented a blet sander that had a lot more power and now they don't have it. I know there are some oujt there somewhere.

Thanks

Would this be overkill?

I do use an Alto on really big jobs. It works great. I'm just looking for a heavy duty 4 x 24 belt sander that I can keep in my trailer at all times.

Thanks
