Unhappy need to replace keyless chuck on my craftman

Help I got this drill as a present and one of the prongs never came out the drill was used when I got it so no instructions are on hand I need help.

Open the chuck as wide as possible and take a look inside. If there is a screw on the end of the shaft holding the chuck, unscrew it. Then grasp the chuck firmly and give the drill a squirt in reverse to unscrew the chuck from the shaft.

If the drill was a recent gift, this would be a warranty issue.

The subject of chuck removal, if this is where the "prong" is you are referring to, has been discussed at length a few posts down.

Blue said the drill was used when he received it, so it probably is not under any warranty.
