Question 1/4 sheet palm sanders

I am in the market for a 1/4 sheet palm sander. Any recommendations?? I am considering the Makita or the Black and Decker models. Thanks

i dont have either of those, i have a craftsman one i use alot for auto body prep. The thing I would look for- How easy is it to switch sheets of paper? ie what type of clips. THe crapsman has metal spring clips along 2 sides with a lever you lock back, however all the vibration sometimes makes the lever stick, then I need to pry it open. Id recommend you actually try how it changes. -Josh

I have a Makita and it's an excellent sander.

My-Kita is good!

I have been using my Makita for home & craft projects for 10-12 years and hopefully won't have to replace it. If has been very reliable.

I have the Porter Cable. It works fine. The price is very close to the cheaper models. I recommend that you get the velcro base which is an accessory.
