Re: best tool?!

I am building a brick wall for the first time, I need some half bricks. What is the best way to cut bricks in half neatly without getting one of the expensive diamond saw. I have a miter saw and table saw, do they sell any special blade I can get? Any input appreciated, thanks.

From one site on laying brick:

"Bricks will inevitably have to be cut to achieve a proper bonding pattern. To do this, place the brick on its side on a solid surface. Using the bolster, make a groove about 1mm deep around the brick. Keep the bolster as upright as possible, and hit it hard with the hammer"

Here's a picture of a bolster.

Hope this helps.
