Air compressor tripping breaker...
Greetings to the forum,
I've become the proud father of a DeVilbiss 5hp-30 gallon air compressor. The compressor is rated at 15 amps. Unfortunately, the load it's creating on startup and its "cut in" are tripping the 20 amp breaker in the main panel inside my house.
Short of having to supply more power to the garage (Something Ijust won't be able to do in the near future), is there anything else I can do to lessen the load or the "sensitivity" of the circuit breaker (different circuit breaker, maybe?)?
Thanks in advance to the forum for any advice offered.
David
