Table saw or mitre saw

Table saw or mitre saw
Hi ,i'm new here and want some advice,we're doin a house reno and i am gonna do some stuff on my own to cut costs a bit.
I want to be able to cut baseboards, door and window trim and be able to cut laminate flooring.
Now,what saws do i really need,a table saw or a mitre saw, because if i need to rip the laminate board for fitting pruposes,i would think a table would be best as it can also do the 45 mitres except the 45 bevel mitre in which a mitre saw would be better to except i'm not sure if you can rip with a mitre saw!
Any help would be appreciated!

Seeing as there are two threads almost below this
"advice on buying just one power saw" (7 posts ) and
"investing in power tools-need advice" (36 posts ) -This just has to be a joke --right

Welcome
There is a lot of information here in previous posts but in a nutshell the two tasks you wish to do will require two different tools.
You cannot rip with a mitre saw and a table saw cannot easily mitre an 8 foot board.
I would suggest you wade through past posts to see what tools would be important to you.
You could possibly select a quality tool for the one you would use most often and a cheaper one that would be used less.

Look into a Radial arm saw, most of them you can rotate the head 360 degrees.
I have ripped 10' long boards and cut 3/4" dados ten feet long. its a two man job.
worked out good.
If you get one that has a second shaft added to the other side of the motor. it will be more universal.
plainer,sanding drum and more.
You would need to get a book on how to use the saw it is more dangerous then other tools.
For example.
Ripping. If you feed the board into the blade. the blade can pull the board from your hands, the blade will try to climb over the board.
If you feed the board from the back side of the blade the board can kick back.
you need to setup guides with feather boards.
A book just for Radial arm saws is a must.
The cheep ones are not that accurate.
Pull the head to the full stroke, and shake the head compare how ridge one saw is to some others.
