TS Extension Table

TS Extension Table
I want to make a table extension to my table saw. I plan to use 2 layers of 5/8” MDF which I will glue together. The reason for the 2 layers is that the bottom one will have the required bolts to secure it to the frame underneath. Is the MDF a good material to use? Is carpenters glue a good one for MDF? Any suggestions? Thank you

kolias,
Yes and yes.
I have an mdf rear extension on my saw.
I cut grooves for the mitre attachment and gave it three coats of gloss urethane so the wood passes smoothly over it and is easier to clean.
I have seen plans for a homebuilt table extension that was set up to convert to a router table.
