Where do the wires go?
Got a Rol-Air compressor, Putting a different 1 1/2hp motor on it as I got it with a bad motor and the wiring was off. So my question is what wires go where? I am wiring the motor as a 110 rather than 220, The box for the wiring has 4 terminals in it. 2 say load and 2 say line. Wires on the motor are purple white yellow red orange and black. Which wires are which? This is a used GE motor, I can't read the tag to see the model number. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks

Tim,
Were you able to return the three phase motor?
If wiring the motor for 120 volts you would connect the white wire directly to the terminal on the motor that shows being connected to neutral.
You would then connect the black wire of the cord to line and the motor wire to load.
There should be a connection diagram on the name tag or sometimes on the inside of the wiring cover plate.
