compressor pump question?

I have an old small vertical compressor. looks like someone has added dif. motor and pump... the pump is a 2 cyclinder , has w.r. morton ( or whorton) .. the tops of cyclinder has SPEEDY on it.. it is oilless.. i have found speedysprayer online and they seem to be for airbrushing or ? The compressor doesnt seem to put off much pressure.. i just wonder if that is all it is supposed to put off.. I does nothing like the other compressor i have about the same size.. thanks Don

Don,

You can only know what capacity it has by looking up the specs for your particular unit.
The only Speedy compressors I am familiar with are a diaphram type and all have a very low cfm output.

I recently junked one and it was made to be a continuously running unit which means it was not meant to be connected to a pressure tank.
It would only put out around 50 psi which is all it was meant to do.

Perhaps someone unknowingly put this type of compressor on a tank.
