Dremel tool

I am thinking of buying a Dremel Model 395 tool for different house projects. I have read some reviews of it on Amazon and it seems to be a pretty good tool with a few minor drawbacks such as the overheating issue. I am not a pro and I dont need anything too complex but a variety of uses is helpful. I decided to ask the people on this forum for a final verdict. Is this a worthy tool or should I look elsewhere?

I do NOT put a Dremel tool in the same paragraph with a "house project". It goes with hobbies and crafting. Occasionally there are small, light tasks that need a minor amount of grinding or cutting in wood or soft metal (such as brass).
If you do get one, look on eBay to avoid paying full retail price.

When you discover that it's slow and underpowered for the task, go ahead and get an angle grinder or a Foredom unit to do the "house project" with.
A good jigsaw or sawzall will be appropriate too.
