What charger for 7.2V cordless drill?

I have a Ryobi HP721K cordless drill, and I have misplaced the AC charger/adapter. Replacement batteries are easy to find, but the adpaters are just about impossible.

There is a 12 volt battery charger available, part #7222701, that looks like the right one, but I don't know if that will work with a 7.2V drill.

Does anyone know?

A charger that does not match the battery voltage cannot be used.
If you were able to insert the lower voltage battery it could explode.

Check to see however if it has a rating for lower voltage batteries.
The newer Makita chargers can do their 7.2, 9.7 and 12 volt batteries.

you can buy that drill new for 30.00 how much is just the charger ?

buy a new drill and then youhave two drills and extra battries .

have you talked to HD customer service ?

seems like they ought to be able to order it

or try here :ryobi service centers

http://www.ryobitools.com/service/service_centers

(call them and ask if the 12volt will work , on low volt items like this chargers often put out more than the stated voltage )

but I bet a new charger is 25.00
