Question Grinder?

I'm putting down a floating floor in the living/dining room and after pulling up the old ratty carpeting and cushion, I saw that some of the underlayment had adhered to the concrete slab beneath.
I want to get the slab as clean as possible and have tried removing the residue with a hand scraper, but it's very slow going.

I thought an angle grinder might help( 7"?).

In my area I have Bosch, Makita, DeWalt and Milwaukee available.

Which is better?

Honestly, start with a heat gun - usually works well for removing adhesive from concrete. Never tried it myself - but I've heard it recomended a few times.

There are some commercial floor grinders that should be available (somewhat similar to what one would use to refinish a wood floor) at your local rental shop.

If you do decide to go the hand grinder route, the 7" you'll find is a monster to run for any period of time. A 4 1/2" or 5" would be more than adequate for this task. Dewalt's are good, but the Hilti DC500 is my choice - almost guaranteed you have a Hilti dealer locally.
