Having problems finding this air compressor

I have researched air compressors heavily recently, and have decided on a Ingersoll Rand DD2T2,

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_SessionID=@@@@2092263098.1176244062@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccfcaddkilfgkkkcefecemldffidfni.0&pid=00919688000&vertical=Sears&ihtoken=1

But, as I was getting ready to order it, I decided to do the resellerratings.com thing, and see what feedback gave on sears.com, and also, northerntool.com. These are the only two places that I can find this compressor online at. Actually, they are the only two places I can find them at all. I went to a sears today, and they did not have the compressor. The only compressors in store were craftsman. Does anyone know of a reputable online dealer of air compressors, that may have this one? I have read nothing but good reviews on this one, but if there is something else comparable that someone would recommend at approximately the same price, I would consider that too. Thanks.

Some possibilities:

And of the course, the very BEST place to get it:

Thanks. How come hardwareandtools is the BEST place when they are anywhere from 40-70 dollars higher in price. I didn't look at their shipping. Do you or anyone have any experience with www.everyaircompressor.com, or aircompressorsdirect.com? They aren't showing up on resellerratings.

I can't vouch for any of the sellers, except for hardwareandtools.com.

Okay, I was shilling for the "house" on the hardwareandtools.com recommendation - they are an affiliate of diy.com. I thought maybe you would pick up on that. BUT, I don't get paid to recommend them; they are a good retailer. As with most on-line retail sales you can ALWAYS find it cheaper, but often the lower the price the more chance you take on the quality of service.

Man! I just ordered it, and there is a TSC a few miles from here. Oh well, I guess it's all the same compressor, i just spent 30 more. I ended up risking it and going with northerntool, UPS says it will be here tomorrow. Of course I'm going out of town tomorrow, so I won't be able to play with my new toy til this weekend. I really wish I would have thought about tractor supply. Thanks anyway.

Thumbs up Your in luck

I bought it from the same place, the good news is Northern Tool has a 110% price guarantee!!!

Just FYI, I got mine a week and a half ago it was louder than I expected. The discharge tube was vibrating on the bottom of the pump. I forced it down and that made things better.

Have fun playing this weekend.

Thanks for the info. I did get mine in, and it was also a lot louder than expected. I just forced down the tube you talked about, but haven't tried it out yet, I will have to try it tomorrow when everyone is awake.

Even though it was louder than expected, it was also a lot faster to fill up than expected too. A little over a minute from empty to full, and only a 15 second cycle time, I like,

I mailed the stuff to northerntool today to try to get the best price guarantee thing going. We shall see how it goes, and I will let everyone know when I find out. Thanks.
