mitre saw stands - which one?
OK - there are almost as many out there as there are pretty women !
Which are ones I should be considering (easy now...I am referring to mitre saw stands)
Wheels no wheels
Brands
Features
Costco has one for ~$150 which has many features.
As always I listen to the experts.

Hi Wendl,
You know I'm prejudiced...love my DeWalt
Here's a great video to help you pick the perfect stand. Demo of different brands and particular uses. Enjoy!

I have my miter saw fixed in my shop and have no need of a store bought stand but if I did, a big concern would be the height. My back has some age [miles too
] and I wouldn't want to bend over making cuts on a stand that is too short.

My miter saw is also semi permanently mounted in my shop. If you aren't going to use yours at a job site, save some money and build a miter saw table for about $20.
I have a DeWalt stand that I bought with my DeWalt saw. I've probably used it twice.

Unfortunately, I do not have a dedicated shop to work in...I share space in a one and a half car garage with our car.
I have work benches down two walls, so when working with long stock, have to pull the car out and make do. The table saw is on a cabinet I built that rolls out, so can maneuver that, and swap it with the regular miter saw. But, when using the sliding miter saw, it's easier to drag out the stand.
I do wish I had gotten one with wheels- I had not thought to look, but perhaps wheels can be added.

I have a Bosch 12" set on a Delta rollable frame with extension rollers once it is set up. HOWEVER, I was on a jobsite the other day, and one of the guys had a Ridgid rollable. Alot easier to set up, stores vertically, height adjustable (for those who need it, Mark), and about $200. If you are looking for rolling, make sure the wheels are big, semi pneumatic (soft), and the overall unit sets up smoothly and is sturdy as a rock. Price will be a secondary criteria.
