Craftsman 3.5hp air compressor! Fixable??

The question I have is it worth to fix or is it even fixable!! My father in law has a Craftsman 3.5 hp 125 psi oilless air compressor. It stopped compressing so to speak. The motor turns on and sounds like it always has but no air comes out. He used the same fittings that this was hooked up to and the new one works fine. There is no hole in any of the lines or the tank.
I hope this enough info to get me some help. I am going to try to find some parts on sears.com just to see what the prices are. Thanks
Chris

While it is running, can you run your hands around the compressor, piping, gauges, etc and detect any type leak. Sometimes there is a bypass ball type valve that has to seat before it will compress air. Otherwise a pipe leak, etc. could be the culprit. Repairable, probably. Prices will be hard to swallow from Sears.
