hooking 3 phase/460 volt compressor as 220
I have acquired a 120 gal 15 hp compressor. Is it possible to make use of it off of 220 volts? I want to use it at home for automotive work including paint/body work.

hi
you can do some searching on the net about phase converters and voltage transformers, but when you are done, you will buy a 10 hp single phase motor and a starter to match. Slow down the pump some to match the reduced horsepower and don't look back.
