I have a flat shovel which I use often. Recently the handle cracked and I must replace it. The shovel has a curved neck to it but the new handle I bought is straight. How do I get the straight handle to fit into the curved neck?

You probably don't, at least not so it fit's very well. I've seen some fiberglass I think that can be used for both. But wood will never fit correctly. Take it back and get a curved handle.
